ick, i hate psychology readings.
leafs killed thrashers last night 9-1 and mccabe is tied for the league lead in points (9)
damm assignment is due monday for class and the lady i talked to had no idea what to tell me about her organization.
stupid woman that is my supervisor is officially incompentent - she keeps trying to do refunds and help customers with totally false information. i.e: she didnt know you cannot give a person cash back on a refund without the receipt. we had to tell her 5 times that the system will ONLY allow you to give it back on a gift card before she believed us.
that might not sound like anything, but this lady is now our BOSS and is in charge of TRAINING new staff. if she doesn't know her ass from a hole in the ground, all new employees are fucked.
i still enjoy ashlee's new cd, but im going to take umair's advice and listen to it for the next few days to see if i really want to own it.

just watched 28 Days Later.
Not what I expected and not scary. at all.
enjoyable enough, and Cillian Murphy looked good. i don't usually think he looks good in films - he seems to always come off creepy and slimy.
I don't think i've ever seen a movie hailed as scary as this one that came off as so completely not scary. It was almost an action-drama.

Also, HMV was having a sale on DVD's yesterday (as in 3 for $20 sale) so I picked up Legally Blonde 2 (the last 4 movies I bought were serious, so I got a cheesy comedy), 28 Days Later (which I hear is crazy), and The Crucible (which Umair said is good I think).
They still have a shitload of movies at 3 for $30 and a lot for at the 3 for $20 price - including "classics" like Raging Bull.
And they are selling the Scarface Special Edition for $9.99 - can you say overstock?

Bryan McCabe from the Toronto Maple Leafs came through my cash last night!
I was psyched and called my manager (because I know he's a big Leaf fan) so he could say hello and Bryan was completely gracious about the whole thing.
He was buying pillows and sheets for an air matress his in-laws need because they are staying with him and his wife right now (they just had a baby).
Nice guy, I was impressed.
Oh, and he's absolutely massive - he's at least 6'4 and built. Hockey players are huge.

on tv there is nothing except for a douchebag on some pathetic canadian decorating show painting a fucking styrofoam ball talking about how much his friend will "love this piece." Go fuck yourself and your stupid decorating show that nobody watches on the W network.
I had to listen to a fucking fire alarm in the middle of the night for some reason and the alarm in my building is not the nice bell sound - its an ear-piercing screech that gets louder the more you wake up. I fucking hate this building.
I hate that i have to go to work later feeling pissed off because I have to work with that damn bitch who is now my boss and acts like everybody else is new. That's it, go take your 90 minute breaks and leave the rest of your "employees" stuck. God and I hate how much she kisses ass. "Here is a rose for your birthday." Like WTF, who gives their boss a rose for their birthday?
my dad is a douche.
I'm mad about my school placement because the coordinator has let a bunch of us down. The organization of the course is horrible - the person in charge of getting us placements has nothing to do with the professor of the course, leaving our prof in the dark about everything. Now our prof is making us still adhere to the first assignment deadline (just over a week) - but we have to find a place on our own to write a case for support. That means getting all this information from an organization that I have nothingto do with and will never be working for. It's such a mess and it just seems really typical of my classes this year.
Three of my classes are horribly organized and taught, and nothing is ever discussed or assigned until it is too late (like: "oh hey your assignment is due next week. let's discuss")

I downloaded a bunch of music in the past few days off of a Britney Spears forum (I know, really random place to find shitloads of mp3s).
LOL as of right now, my last download is the leaked Ricky Martin Single..HAHAHA oh god, its just, oh god..
I really do not want to do schoolwork this weekend. I have Monday off though and should finish my Media Relations assignment...technically. I'm still 4 weeks behind in Fundraising but I just can't get excited to read 300 pages.
My friend told me that Kathleen Edwards and an opening act whose name I cannot remember (its a guy though who is apparently really good) are playing for under $20 in a month or so in Toronto. Sounds exciting and like a fun night, especially if we go downtown early and catch a movie and/or dinner. I wonder if she plays with a full band.
Hmm, now I'm downloading Madonna and other people's B-sides and demos (at least attempting to)..not having much luck with the limits some file sharing systems have on uploads.
I saw the new Jem video for "Just a Ride". I have to admit I am dissapointed - I liked the darker feeling to her other album (I think the new songs are from her new CD in the UK). Her voice seems wasted on bubble gum pop.

Bought my nephew and niece the last bit of their presents for the holidays (yeah it's early but I hate last-minute shopping). I got my niece a Spongebob magic8ball and my nephew a Hot Wheels racer fight thing. It was exciting.

Past bit in a few sentences.
Saw the movie cry_wolf. Fairly predictable with a so-so double twist ending. Good way to kill an hour and a half though.
School is back and things are pretty much the same - readings, movies, food, gaining weight, and buying books. I can't remember specific stories right now, but it's been fun so far.
I almost killed one of my friends when she took two tylenol 3's that were in my purse. She thought they were tylenol extra strength and got really sick and threw up in the girls washroom after class :S
I still feel bad about that.
i really need to take umi's deleted journal off of my friends list, but i'm too lazy.
Oh, and it's maggie and ivette for the money in bb6. Maybe the winner can buy a new personality when they leave the house.

This will be short - I emailed my professor to get a heads up on the texts we need this semester. The class is a distance elective and I may be buying another student's books. This is the reply to my e-mail:

OMIGOSHTHNXPROF. What a fucking ass - the OUTLINE isn't up yet! The website is available in two days and maybe, just MAYBE, I want to get the books before our first assignment is due.
I'm not a fucking moron, but his e-mail sure does a good job of making me feel like one. The condenscending tone makes me want to vomit up my Asian Buffet.
On a better note - I got a present today!! I'm excited because there is candy and I got jeans and I still have $17 left on the giftcard and I got 2 CD. Yay for birthdays!
And I calculated the money I spent on "Back to School clothes" the past few weeks. It comes to around $300 (give or take 10 bucks) and I got 7 shirts, a pair of shoes, a belt, purse, wallet, 6 pairs of socks, 10 bras, 16 undies and 2 pairs of jeans (which were both bought on giftcards). Pretty good haul for the cash :D

I feel productive. I've done my laundry (which I hate), thrown out old underwear that were just, umm..ew (which was fun), and had a shower (which was clean).
I think I'll head out to Upper Canada Mall since i haven't been there in years (literally), to buy socks/underwear. Not more thongs or anything, just replacement panties.
My sister watches BB6 but only sees the tv shows, except for a few days where she got the trial feed for free - and she made my day today by telling me how much she hates April and Ivette. She wants Janelle to win (like me) and thinks that Ivette has developed a crush on Janelle b/c ever since Janelle voted out Jennifer instead of her, Ivette has ceased her insulting of Janelle (except when with her 'group' - to the DR it's been all Rachel-hate). She may have a point..I mean, you'd think Ivette would put up a harder fight for James than let him leave.
Oh, and her cat died :( It was sad but her husband is maybe picking up a dog for them today. Not a puppy since that's too much work, but a rescued dog from the TOronto Humane Society.
The other day I found out really horrible news about a lady I worked with in February - a few weeks after I worked with her, her hubby was bitten by a mosquito in their yard and died in less than a week. He was bitten in the arm and he went down for a nap. When he woke up, his arm was swollen and they went to the hospital. The doctors amputated his left arm but whatever the mosquito had (it was NOT West Nile) was already spreading and they couldn't save him. Then, the stress his death put on the family caused her daughter to miscarry. She still hasn't returned to work and I am not surprised, that is so much so fast to have to live through.
And she's a wonderful lady too :(

Watched the MTV Video awards. 50 Cent and Common took shots at each other or something - i dunno, most of it was censored anyways. I thought R. Kelly's performance (sans singing) was pretty good - though it would have been nice for a singer to actually sing his song.
Kelly Clarkson at the end was the shit. i loved that she didn't lip-synch and that you could hear her throat go hoarse. Plus, her + water = good tv.
TMI: I finally bought thongs to replace my far too large collection of granny-panty inspired underwear. And I actually like them :P

Today I tried updating in the morning but LJ was doing this weird thing where I'd log in, go to the update page, and would be logged out. It was bizarre.
Anyways, I got this script for Family Feud at Orientation next week and OMGISHWTF I'm actually in it. I was expecting to be crew, but I am a goshdarned member of the Jetsons family. And I have 2 lines! Lol.
My big line is: CLUBS!
That, and ringing in before my 'opponent.'
Dude, let's see a movie next week? Maybe a matinee at the Famous near S1 and then we can shop a bit?

I was listening to the radio this morning and switched over to Flow 93.5, which by it's own description is an "Urban Radio Station" - so it plays rap, hip-hop, etc.
This morning their announcers were doing this really great segment on a video that has been banned by MuchMusic because the women in the video are wearing "Stop Snitching" shirts.
The gun violence in Toronto lately has been pretty bad, and the announcers were agreeing that the video would deter witnesses from reporting crimes they see on the streets.
So they go on this great ramble about how you should report crimes and that this video is supporting a violent lifestyle, and thus should be banned (at least for right now).
Right when I'm proud to be a Torontonian - they throw to the latest 50 Cent song.
BAHHHHHHH. I guess they didn't see the irony in that :/
